Catjang Soup

Catjang (眉豆) Soup or I called it “Mei Dao (Cantonese)” Soup. From my memories, this ingredient is use to put in dumpling. Or should I call it cowpeas? It is cowpeas family anyway.

This post I did reduce some pictures, I think I don’t need to much information for it since is my personal journal 😁.

Come back to Catjang (眉豆) soup topic, this cowpeas or Catjang (眉豆) taste very flavorful and unique or can I say it plain. Again, no salt and seasoning add in or u will destroy the original taste.

I personally think, soup without salt is always great to match with meats and soy sauce. It will balance the flavor no to yes, hard for me to put in examples from word. Sometime we needs to have plain flavor match with heavy flavor sort like for them to combine in a set meals.
